豐盛感的第三個元素是擁有正向的人際關係。正向人際關係包括定期與別人接觸和溝通,互相關懷和幫助。很多時候,我們產生的興奮、自豪等情緒都會涉及「別人」。當你遇到困難時,「別人」也會幫助你,給你依靠。正向人際關係使你產生一種與別人融合的感覺,是促成豐盛感的其中一項關鍵 (Seligman, 2012)。
正向人際關係通常包括一些定期與人接觸和溝通的活動。透過人與人之間的互動、互相幫助、互相欣賞,我們可以得到慰藉、鼓勵和提醒,從而令我們更有力量和勇氣面對逆境和困難 (Seligman, 2012)。
大多數小學都會爲其小六學生舉行三日兩夜的畢業營,期間,學生會分成小組與同學一起參與歷奇活動並一同完成任務。這些成長營旨在加强學生之間的人際關係,從而培養出他們的協作能力、同理心、責任心等等。令人欣喜的是,參與了成長營的學生會更重視與同學之間的溝通和關係,並且會更容易感到快樂和感恩。
部分中學會推行「朋輩輔導計劃」或「大哥哥、大姐姐計劃」,鼓勵高年級同學成爲新入學師弟妹的校園小導師,與師弟妹交流學習心得及陪伴他們參與各式各樣的校園活動。透過計劃,作爲校園小導師的高年級同學能夠體會到「施比受更有福」的快樂和滿足感,而被照顧的低年級同學亦會感受到師兄姐的關懷和鼓勵,從而能夠更快速地適應升中學之後的新學習環境和新校園生活,更有力量和勇氣面對學習上的各種挑戰。
大學的學生會和各個系會在每年暑假都會為新入學的同學舉行迎新營,讓新同學可以互相認識,也可以與學校的師兄姐認識、交流,從而能夠令同學更快速地適應大學的新學習環境和校園生活文化,並且能夠提昇歸屬感,讓同學以更好的狀態來迎接人生的新一章,積極地在大學時期發掘自己更多的可能性。
每個人都是不同的,我們要學習接納並尊重不同的人和意見,這樣才能促進正向的互動關係 (Lorri, 2013)。
在與人談話時,試聆聽完別人的話語才給予回應,不要中途打斷別人説話。這樣能增加説話者的信心,令他感到被支持,維持良好的互動 (Lorri, 2013)。
多關心他人的需要,提供適切的協助,亦有助於促進正向的人際關係 (Ohrt, Clarke, & Conley, 2019)。
讓同學互相教導彼此不懂的地方及合作完成任務,培養學生之間的良好互動(Slavin, 2018)。
讓高年級的學生輔導低年級的學生。除了解決學習上的困難外,還可以幫助新入學的同學更快認識不同的人,融入校園生活 (Slavin, 2018)。
